Prayer for Future Husband

Heavenly Father,

You are the Author of love, the Giver of every good gift.
You know the deepest desires of my heart—even the ones I can’t name.
I surrender them to You now, trusting that You are writing a story more beautiful than I could imagine.

Lord, if it is Your will that I be married, I pray for the man You are preparing for me.
Make him a man after Your own Heart—one who walks with You in quiet faith and steady devotion.
Teach him to pray with honesty, to listen with reverence, and to serve with joy.
Let him be a man who kneels before You before he ever reaches for my hand.

Form in him a protective, gentle strength—
not the strength of pride or control,
but the strength that lays down his life in love,
the strength that leads with humility and peace.

Give him a heart that seeks truth even when it’s hard,
that apologizes without defensiveness,
that sees growth as holy ground, not weakness.
Surround him with brothers who sharpen him in virtue,
and heal any wounds that keep him from intimacy, trust, or joy.

Let him love beauty—not only in music or nature,
but in the quiet grace of sacrifice, in the mystery of womanhood,
in the radiant dignity of each child.
Make him a man who honors my gifts, even when they stretch him,
and who speaks life into the dreams You’ve placed in me.

May he be a man who shows up—
in his work, in his friendships, in his faith.
Let his integrity in small things prepare him for the great.
May he be financially wise, generous in spirit,
and at peace with the limits and blessings of real life.

And Father, as You prepare his heart, prepare mine.
Make me the kind of woman who loves without fear,
who forgives quickly, laughs easily,
and follows wherever You lead.

May our love—if it is Your will—be a sign of Your covenant:
faithful, fruitful, free, and forever.
And if You call me to another path,
let me embrace it with the same hope and trust,
knowing You are always the One who fulfills.

In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
